Biblical Justice
for a Broken World
At the Center for Biblical Unity, we are committed to equipping believers to live out their faith with courage, conviction and compassion, addressing pressing cultural issues through a biblical lens. Our Ambassadors of Biblical Justice program is a nine-month program designed to train Christian laypeople to advocate for a biblically grounded framework of justice. This initiative empowers participants to engage their communities with wisdom, humility, and actionable steps rooted in the historic Christian worldview.
Overview
The Ambassadors of Biblical Justice program seeks to address the complex issues of justice by equipping Christians with theological clarity and practical tools. In a world marked by division, this program will train participants to unify around biblical standards for justice—rooted in Scripture’s call to be a people characterized by “justice, and only justice” (Deut. 16:20). Through curated readings, group discussions, mentorship, and a capstone project, participants will grow in their ability to advocate for biblical justice in their local contexts.
Program Objectives
-
Theological Grounding: Develop a robust biblical understanding of justice.
-
Intellectual Engagement: Equip participants to think critically about cultural issues by reading key texts and participating in facilitated discussions.
-

Topics
Over nine months, the Ambassadors of Biblical Justice cohort will explore eight foundational topics that equip believers to think and act biblically in today’s world. Each topic is rooted in Scripture, enriched by key readings and guided discussion, and aimed at producing confident ambassadors who advance God’s righteousness and justice in their own communities.

Worldview
God created human beings in His image and commissioned us to fill, subdue, and cultivate the earth as His representatives. This foundation shapes our vision for justice and human flourishing.

Work
Work is not a curse but a pre-Fall calling. Through it we image God, serve others, and advance His kingdom. A biblical theology of vocation connects every lawful occupation to worship and cultural renewal.

Economics
Wealth is created through voluntary exchange, creativity, and the responsible stewardship of God’s resources, not redistribution of wealth. Scripture celebrates private property, honest profit, and generosity while condemning theft, envy, and the love of money.

Biblical Justice
Scripture defines justice according to God’s righteous standard and flows from the character of God and is inseparable from righteousness, mercy, and love of neighbor.

Family
God designed the family as the most foundational human institution for nurture, education, welfare, and cultural transmission. Strong marriages are indispensable for justice, cultural stability, and multi-generational flourishing in any society.

Poverty
Poverty is ultimately rooted in the Fall and is addressed most effectively through relationships, opportunity, and the transformation of hearts by the gospel. Biblical compassion moves us to relieve immediate suffering while pursuing solutions that restore dignity.

Social Justice
Participants will learn to define, investigate and critique modern “social justice” and how it redefines oppression, equity, and power in ways that conflict with Scripture’s teaching.

Social Transformation
Lasting cultural change flows from regenerate hearts, faithful local churches, and disciples who live out their faith in every sphere of life. We pursue grassroots renewal through personal responsibility, community, and the leavening influence of the gospel.
Mentors
Members of the Ambassadors of Biblical Justice cohort will interact with an array of experienced mentors. These are seasoned Christian leaders who have spent years faithfully applying biblical principles to real-world issues of justice, poverty and cultural renewal in their own communities. These mentors will offer biblical guidance and wisdom as participants wrestle with the readings and develop their capstone projects. Their experience ensures that the training never stays theoretical; it is shaped by men and women who have built launched and run mercy ministries having lasting kingdom impact.
